Happy New Year everyone. Can you believe we are in 2019 already? I don’t know about you, but every year older I get, the quicker the year seems to go. So what did you fill last year with? Did it look like what you’d hoped it would? I was really proud that 2018 saw us achieve the fantastic accolade of being selected as a SmallBiz100 out of the millions of small businesses in the UK. It led me on some exciting adventures where I got to tell people about our area, our community and our local businesses and saw the launch of a third community magazine. Just as important to me last year was the wonderful feedback I received each month from readers, the relationships built with our advertisers and the new local businesses I got to meet. This year I want to continue bringing you a great community magazine, look forward to getting to know more organisations and all their news and continue to champion all the local small businesses who support our publication. Have you made any new year’s resolutions this year? I hope they are going well so far. If you haven’t made one yet, how about joining us in our Love Queensbury campaign to love your village or wherever you call home just a little bit more. There are so many community groups you could get involved in to meet new people, maybe you could give 2mins a day to pick up litter, help to keep the village free of dog poo, volunteer at a community event or get creative in your own way to love where you live this year. This month’s issue is full of events, news and updates from community organisations where you may find some inspiration. So grab a biscuit and a cuppa, or a salad if your resolution is to eat healthier, and enjoy this month’s issue.
