The committee behind Queensbury’s 1940’s Day are getting themselves ready for another amazing day, for the village to come together and experience a bit of nostalgia from the war years.
The centre pages have all the details you need of what’s on during the day.
You’ll find me in the Conservative Club, MC’ing the afternoon with singers and dancers performing. Do come on in and say hello.
Loads to see and do on the day, come along, dress up in old fashioned clobber, and enjoy the villages best nostalgic event.
June is also the time for another general election. Do not feel skeptical or exasperated by this, please use your vote wisely. Consider the facts and make a decision. Whether you are considering local politics or national politics, your vote matters. Those that choose not to vote, can’t then complain about the subsequent decisions that will affect their daily lives.
On a brighter note, the warmer weather has come. Looking out of my window, I see blue skies. Makes a difference from the low lying cloud creating a fog where I can’t see the houses opposite. The joy of summer warmth is on its way. Queensbury has a lot to offer its community. Support your local events and have a great couple of months.
